How We Play
Round One is the lightning round consisting of three shuffles for each player. Each player will have 30 seconds to shuffle up to 8 weights. The highest score of the three shuffles will be recorded. Players will not be shown the remaining time in the shuffle. Timekeeper will call start and stop for each player. If a weight is on the table but not shuffled when time is called, it will not count.
Round Two will consist of the top 10 players. All the players will be paired for a showdown. (The rest of us will stand around, enjoy a beverage and cheer.) The highest scoring player will be paired with the lowest scoring player, continuing that method until all players are paired. This round will consist of 3 shuffles per person. In this round, each player will have 1 minute to shuffle up to 7 weights. At the end of the shuffle, the opponent will have 1 weight to be shuffled to knock as many of the players weights from the table. Each player’s total score for all three rounds will be recorded. In this round, the player with the highest score from Round One will start the 1st shuffle and will alternate from there.
Round Three is a best 2 out of 3 games between the two highest scoring players from Round Two. The winner is the first player to reach an even score of 11 with only the weights of the player furthest down the table scoring in each shuffle. The person with the highest score from Round Two will start the first game. The winner of the game will start the next game.
